A little contest…

Ok – so as we all know, Halloween is coming up.  But – do you know what Alex is going to be?

Take a guess – first one to guess (Christine – sorry – but you can’t guess! – or tell anyone!! – no harassing Christine!!) will win a spooky prize.  Every day I will provide a clue until the correct answer is guessed.

Let the guessing begin!

(sorry Pat – you can’t guess either!)

For some halloween fun – here are some links I’ve put put together for our Library’s kids page that you might enjoy.

Weekend that was

This past weekend was busy.  Didn’t really do anything I had planned to do – but that’s life isn’t it?  We are still having problems getting Alex to nap at the sitters so he had wonderfully long naps and sleep-ins to catch up.  He is also feeling a lot better (must be all the well wishes you sent!), the cough is still there but it isn’t nearly as bad.  Saturday we went and looked at a dream house… 90 year old huge yellow brick renovated home – but it is a “few” dollars over our price limit.  I seriously want that house – if only I could win the lottery…  That night we had a real feast.  Matt’s parents came over and so did my brother for stead, lobster, salad, potatoes… the works.  It was fantastic.  That was my first real lobster meal – I can’t believe I have waited 3# years to try lobster!

Sunday Matt went hunting and got a deer!  Yeah Matt!  It is being butchered as we speak into roasts and stewing beef to fill the freezer for the winter.   And that afternoon we went to get a pumpkin.  Sadly – it didn’t turn out that way.  I wanted to go to a pumpkin patch but that didnt’ happen.  So instead we went to a farm that sells them – but, call me cheap, but I’m not paying $15 for a pumpkin when you can get them for $2 at the grocery store.  So we looked at the pumpkins.  We will see what we can do about a pumpkin this coming weekend.

Ohhh... Pumpkin!

Ohhh... Pumpkin!

We played in the leaves a bit at Matt’s brothers – we don’t have mature enough trees to get a large pile in our back yard.
