Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestions on how to deal with Alex’s cold. I now know why everyone says you NEED a humidifier!  It’s going on the list.  On the upside he seems to be feeling much better – not as much of a runny nose at least – but a lot more drool.  He also had an adorable giggling fit after dinner – he learned how to use his sippy cup and thought it was the funniest thing!  Love him!!  On the downside is that both Matt and I feel it coming on.  I have a terribly sore throat and Matt has the sniffles.  Oh boy.  Off to the pharmacy…

  1. pick up some zicam! i think it’s a miracle drug. whenever i feel a cold coming on i take it, and i’ve managed to avert all major respiratory illnesses this winter (knock on wood…) now, if they could come up with something that works on the flu…

  2. To put a positive spin on Alex’s cold, when little ones are sick they want more cuddling time with mommy and daddy which works out to be great for attachment! Also a cold means he will be building up his immune system as he fights it. When Reeanna came home, she had 7 colds in 7 months and overall she is a healthy girl .
Glad to hear that you are home and are now ,just being a family!
    take care

  3. Just wanted to introduce ourselves… see we are also Robinsons who are waiting, LOL. I saw the blog title on A Sister for the Bean blog, and could resist hopping over here. We have a three and half year old we adopted at birth and are currently waiting to be chosen by a birthmother through domestic adoption. Oh yea… we all have colds at the moment, welcome to parenthood, LOL. Your little guy is a cutie – congrats on the adoption! And you will definitely find something always seem to happen immediately before a doctors appt or a photo session. I remember once with our son, a mosquito had gotten into his room and bitten him a dozen times, so he had lovely welts from the bites for his doctor visit!

  4. Hope all is well with you guys and that Alex’s cold is disappearing. Both Adam and Daniel have been in various stages of colds in the past few days. Poor little guys. My sister-in-law swears by the baby nasal aspirator to help her little one’s clear their noses. We haven’t tried it yet, but I plan to pick one up today. Hope to hear from you soon 🙂
