Drum roll please…

And the winner is # 29 Beatrix!  Congratulations!  I will e-mail you for your address.  Beatrix’s comment was:

“What a cute little fellow. Would be perfect for my little nephew. As every year I will be donating toys to Toys for Tots”  She has a blog you might want to checkout – http://www.kindershoponline.blogspot.com/

I used a random number generator to pick the winner.   I tried to add a screen shot… but I’m at home and don’t have Photoshop here… Sorry!

I was amazed by the traffic to our blog yesterday – over 1000 hits!  Amazing!  We had 96 entries, and the things people are doing to “give back” are outstanding.  Many people are donating to toy drives and food banks (that is what we are doing), but others are going even beyond – sponsoring families in their area, fund raising for worthwhile charities – or even, sewing beds for animals at local shelters.  Bravo!  Every bit counts!  And even when you can’t provide goods or funds, spending time with loved ones and even strangers at a nursing home in need of some company means so much at this time of the year – and it doesn’t cost you anything.

So, something fun for those in the Stratford area to do on Friday night.  Attend the PLOW benefit concert!  PLOW is Public Library on Wheels – and PLOW takes library services to under serviced areas in Perth County.  They run purely on donations, and are an amazing cause.  So, the concert is Emm Gryner and Brittlestar, and it costs only $10 per person!  It is all ages, but it is also licensed.  It is at the Royal Canadian Legion, starting at 8pm.  See you there!
