K is for Korea

Today I was alerted to a very cute book on Korea that had arrived at the Library – it is called K is for Koreaby Hyechong Cheun & Prodeepta Das.  It goes through the whole alphabet, noting important items on Korean life for each letter.   For instance, “J is for Jeol – bowing low to show respect for elderly people or for our ancestors.” The book is full of gorgeous photos, and is definitely for a slightly older child – but I think it would be great to help describe Korea to Alex.  I will be ordering Alex his own personal copy (and it is on sale from Amazon right now!)
